Hi All

I am trying to recover files from a pm991a nvme SSD with an M.2 enclosure following laptop death.

I have it attached to another laptop via USB C and an M.2 enclosure. When I try to access it I am asked for the Bitlocker key which i have and use.
I then get to the drive and access the user whose files i need. The list opens up but there is nothing in the folders. Same when i access the desktop icon. The folder appears to be empty.
The only folder with anything in it is the One Drive but most are using one drive file extensions. I know there are docs and photos in the folders but they appear empty.
The link to the enclosure is not very stable and am wondering if i have the right one.

Any thought's or guidance please.

Thanks

Stanna

If the defective device was using a MS account the default folder location for desktop, documents, pictures, and videos was Onedrive unless you had unlinked the device from Onedrive which it appears you had not done. Log in to onedrive on the web. Your files should be there and can be downloaded into any device.. They will stay there until you manually delete them. Microsoft OneDrive

Well i never knew that. So no files are actually stored on an SSD if you have one drive active?

Never saw that coming Ha Ha

thanks for the help.
