I keep all my data in my OneDrive folder and get a real-time mirror backup in cloud OneDrive.

I got Office Student Edition back when I was in school in 2010-2015. . I still get free updates to this day

Well when I updated EDGEIUM yesterday it put back all the files I deleted so maybe MS does not want those files removed?? I try again-I do not use EDGE anyway!

I think that may be why I ran into issues yesterday, after deleting, as well, Josey.

Well do not try this, it messed up everything just like it did for you. Thank God & Greyhound for Macrium Reflect. I could not even open Firefox.

you use the internet, what you search for, the sites you visit, that's your personal data that they siphon.

browser with this ID was searching for this and that, and visiting these kinds of websites, send ads for things that match up with habits in that browser.

your name and personal details aren't relevant, they don't care about paltry things like identity, they care about behaviour, so they can send predictive information back to try and get you to buy things, and charge money to the people who want to sell those things to get those ads in front of you.

That must be why I keep seeing those ads for: Women in wetsuits near me.

I like IE. It's the only browser that saves Favourites/Bookmarks directly to disk so they can be manipulated in File explorer.
I tried searching for another that would do this but without success.

IE also allows shortcuts to other applications in its Favourites so I can, for example, launch Notepad to read & edit text files with helpful notes about that particular group of Favs.
- Firefox lets me run shortcuts to open text files in its Bookmarks hierarchy but only as read-only.

I greatly preferred the UI of IE for favorites and downloads in particular. When Edge came along, it had pretty much the same UI. The new Edge is very similar to Chrome in those aspects and I miss the old Edge. I was disappointed when MS went to the Chromium version but now that I'm used to it, I love it.

I agree. I used Chrome for a couple of years and then started using Edge (Chromium) when it was introduced. The new Microsoft Edge is decidedly superior to Chrome. And Microsoft isn't selling your browsing history to advertisers like Chrome does. I too love Microsoft Edge.
