Hi there is like everyone running a RTX 3000s with c-states disabled? or what is the reason Rtx3000s randomly restart on idle loads? i have already tried a new psu, single ram sticks, a few other things too. (im even only using 23h2)

I've been running this high end 3060 (see my specs) since April and a few times driven it hard and had no probs with it. Did very well I thought on Time Spy. I don't do anything special to/for it. I have no idea what "c-states disabled" is. You might try a different Nvidia driver (older or newer) as they are sometimes problematic.

My EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 XC GAMING 12GB has worked flawlessly since I installed it. (05/19/2021)
I've never had any problems with running internet, streaming movies, and gaming. (World of Warcraft)
I have whatever the default C-states are for my MSI bios enabled with no random restarts ever.
I am currently testing the 572.16 driver which so far seems good. Before that the best one was 560.94.

No errors other than your pc has restarted. Event 41. No reliability errors or minidumps either even if I turn off automatic restart on errors. The only things near it are info's, which i sent my board in to rma. Vaguely the info are related to acpi, iommu fault, processor kernel power management. As for drivers I have Tried like from Alot of 2024 2023. I guess the only extra info I can mention is I do use wagnard ddu to reinstall or change nvidia drivers and the card is running on default Power etc as well as nvidia control panel default and windows power settings default. And it is running on x16 mode.

I am trying to rma the motherboard because I suspect that it the problem. The reason for that is I restarted windows and it went to black screen, no boot No nothing (assume the bios had a seizure according to some Intel employee) then I had to qflash plus to fix it. So I'm just cutting that part out incase the board wasn't the root of problem.

The Memory is only running at 4800mhz , no xmp (still restarts with it) no overclocks. All bios settings default, other than forcing state 8 and 10 on to see if the problem is still there or not. My last test is with c-states on, memory mode on disabled (instead of normal or fastboot) seems to make it not restart??? Oh and all stress tests for about 45mins-1 hour pass (no errors and no restart ) games don't crash or restart either.

I will try that driver when my board comes back. However I tried the 2024 drivers and they all just keep rebooting me so if I stream videos I get a long ad break 😅

I don't know the first like 5 months it worked flawlessly (which I was only playing low demand games to the point of under using the pc) then during the next 7 months I keep getting switch offs, so I can't for example use ms office or stream or browse without me recovering pages once it restarts. But the only significant changes from there and now is that Intel microcode bios update, which I suppose you can't undo, so reverting to release bios still has this problem.

Blue Screen of Death (also known as a blue screen or BSoD) is an error screen displayed on a Windows computer system after a fatal system error, also known as a system crash: when the operating system reaches a condition where it can no longer operate safely. BSoDs can be caused by poorly written device drivers or malfunctioning hardware, such as faulty memory, power supply issues, overheating of components, or hardware running beyond its specification limits.

And why can't you just fix the voltage in MSI Afterburner.

Maybe it's time to change the thermal paste/thermal pads ?

And why can't you just fix the voltage in MSI Afterburner.
Some user (since gigabyte support (either made no comment or didn't reply, nvidia forums also no mod even tries to say anything) had taken a look in voltages apparently he said everything was fine. I will take a look what it says for those specific sensors once my board comes back from rma.

All thermals were fine too. I'll tell you the exact temps later on the week (but from what I think) the gpu max was 68 degrees Celsius. GPU Idle temp I think was 48c?? Cpu temp was 8c the room temperature on idle. 60c on max I think???

Replacing Thermal pads on a (minus) -1.5 month old build? I think most components are still on a 3-5 year warranty. As for msi afterburner I usually install it for the rivatuner osd clock. I didn't get around to trying to undervolt the card... The reason why I want power savings is since a full 200+w all the time is excessive. Although I have not tried 101 or 99 max power limits changes.

Will try this, since there are event 41 the exact times are easy to replicate although I did clear the logs because I thought I found a bandaid fix (disabling memory mode) so there are only 2 instances of it right now.

Same for my MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2X 12GB OC
Well I read those posts assuming they meant they always had no problems at all. Instead of a this or that fixed all my problems. Although I'm pretty sure everyone has a lighting geometry problem, where lights in specific angles turn on and off. I wanted to buy tomahawk and msi card but they were not stocking since that corona

The event 41 kernel power means that there is something happened unexpectedly that blocked Windows from turning off properly, and there is a message saying that “The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. Here's why Kernel Power Error 41 happens and how to fix it.

All of that is done long ago/recently and multiple times. 750w as far as I remember rtx3060 said 550w minimum. Disms and sfc and windows memtest does not fail. Cable reseats multiple times aswell. As for random applications, there should be none (only base keyboard and Mouse drivers, no nvidia experience, latest 2015-2019 c++, motherboard drivers from website, which gigabyte says no one reporting problems with them )
