Screen off (Context Menu Version)

Uhhh, this post might shed a bit of light on your monitors:

Seems it actually was supposed support DDC/CI. And that user was able to use SoftMCCS (which I also have) and a DDC app to control it.
yeah i read through that long ago when i used to have those monitors and configured that batch. funny thing is, controlmymonitors works, but any brightness tray slider does not as they all state that the monitors do not support DDC/CI.

*side note - the ONLY tray brightness slider i've found that works for ANY monitor is Dimmer by Nelson Pires as it uses different methods for doing so

The fact that it is in the Linux database is what caught my eye (assuming the OP is actually correct about that).

As an alternative, you can try the context menu version below instead to see if it may work better for you. Be sure to remove this context menu before using the one below.

Removed old context menu, downloaded nircmd, put it in the right directory. Everything works, but the computer still sleeps after about 14 seconds now.

Thank you for your help. Guess with S0 it does come back fairly quickly. Just kinda wanted to leave the computer on for audio notifications and such since I take it to work with me. That's mainly why I just wanted the manual screen off command...

If there's anything you can think of, let me know.

I forgot to add, the first way (before nircmd) its almost like the computer was fighting sleep though. It seem like it was going in and out of sleep.

I used to achieve this by keeping the display on [power options, turn display off - never] but showing a completely blank screensaver when I chose. That keeps S0 Modern standby at bay.
All it needs is a shortcut to your chosen .scr file.
