yeah i read through that long ago when i used to have those monitors and configured that batch. funny thing is, controlmymonitors works, but any brightness tray slider does not as they all state that the monitors do not support DDC/CI.Uhhh, this post might shed a bit of light on your monitors:

Seems it actually was supposed support DDC/CI. And that user was able to use SoftMCCS (which I also have) and a DDC app to control it.
*side note - the ONLY tray brightness slider i've found that works for ANY monitor is Dimmer by Nelson Pires as it uses different methods for doing so
