Any of them, should be fine.
Just get them from a reputable source.

Here's the Windows XP screen savers. See ZIP file below.
Just drop whichever xxxxxxxxxx.scr file you want into the C:\Windows\System32 folder.
Or just put them all in there. Just the .SCR file, not the folder they're in.

Then, in the Taskbar search box, just type: screensaver ...to bring up the screensaver dialog box.
In there you can choose whichever screensaver you want.

Just a heads up for many running 24H2 builds of Windows 11 Lively Wallpaper and other live wallpaper programs won't run properly on 24H2. It's a known 24H2 anomaly and effects my 24H2 build machine as well.

I don't use screensavers anymore, but back in the day, my favorite ones were the After Dark ones.
One of them was called Flying Toasters. Does anyone remember the After Dark screensavers?

These are all .scr standalone remakes.

The first 5 are for Windows. The last 3 are for Mac.
Flying Toasters Replica is actually Flying Toasters 2017 and has an installer that extracts the .scr file.

Hypnogenic rain used to be really cool on Windows 7 , was transparent so you could see the desktop as the rain came down on it..
I wish someone would update it for use on 10 and 11

Since flash was removed, safety is not much of an issue with a few exceptions. No flash also means dull screensavers.

The issue is if you run it manually from the desktop by double clicking the .scr file , it works fine, but running it from screensaver settings from the system32 folder , whenever the screensaver kicks in , it works but the desktop disappears and runs with the chosen background color from the personalization settings.

Wallpaper Engine works fine as well.

Lively Wallpaper works fine on my 23H2 build and prior to upgrading the 24H2 system but if I try to engage it in 24H2 the screen will just constantly flash non stop. Hopefully a future update to Lively will make it compatible with my 24H2 system.

Lively is a cool novelty app , I don't like my desktop moving while I am using it and the app forces you to use it's desktop background instead of letting you choose your own, in short it's not really a screensaver app , it's live wallpaper.
