Security Intelligence Updates for Microsoft Defender Antivirus

Greetings folks,

I've just noticed these entries in my updates, but I use a third-party antivirus and don't have Defender turned on, not even for periodic scanning.

Is this normal and has anyone else received these updates despite using a different antivirus?

You have Defender turned off, and I have updates turned OFF, so, NO.
So, just turn updates OFF and you won't be bothered anymore.

I imagine so.
Defender remains ready for use on your computer so I am not surprised that WU keeps it updated.
I'd expect that your list would include Defender platform updates every couple of months as well.

Perusing other forums, other users seem to be having this issue, so I guess it's indicative of the new Microsoft Update way. That's okay, as long as it isn't my just my PC malfunctioning,
