I have mine because I'm extremely lucky. The neighborhood where I built my house was already pre-laid with fiber from AT&T (which I only found out after the house was fully built and I closed on it) so it was a no-brainer to get their FttH Lightspeed package. Otherwise I would have been stuck with non-fiber-based ISP.
I'm happy with Cox Cable Internet. . . I live alone, so it's just me. . I have 2 computers, laptop, and a smart phone and that's it. . . I pay for 150Mbps for $49.99/mo. . . Can't beat the price.

Can't sorry! It's just too bad. 8mbps if we're lucky! That's on fibre as well. That's rural areas for you :) I was quoted £500 a month to have FTTP on a leaseline at 100mbs. Which is only really affordable for businesses.

There has been a lot of complaining in Connecticut over Optimum's announced plan to drop upload speeds from 35Mbps to much lower ones. (I'm not an Optimum customer. Comcast has always been highly asymmetric.)
