I changed from my old ISP to ATT and got a new speed:
Not bad for TPC (The Phone Company, as in
The President's Analyst ). AT&T sold their business in my area to Frontier Communications. When I last checked, the fastest they could offer me was 25 Mbps, at a not especially attractive rate. I've stayed with Comcast. despite their ever increasing rates.

Wow, some incredible speeds here. Comcrap just upped my speed from 200 to 300 Mbps. When using PIA VPN with the WireGuard protocol download speed only drops slightly to 330 Mbps.

I am so jealous of the numbers being posted here. I would almost kill for speeds like that. I live 5 miles from a town of 25,000 people and am not even able to get ATT dsl, let alone fiber. Even within the city, only the affluent neighborhoods have fiber to the curb. ATT invests no money in infrastructure in areas areas like mine, and from what ATT says, there is no plan to. For years my only option was satellite. Finally, I was able to get on wireless, which was down as much as up. Signal loss finally improved, but the provider has packed so many customers onto their tower without upgrading their equipment that the bandwidth sharing is a killer, especially since covid hit. The only upside is I have no data cap with the wireless over the satellite. Y'all would laugh me off this board if I posted the abysmal speeds I have to work with. Let me give you a hint...most of you run 20,000 per cent faster than me. Consider that for a moment and then give a prayer of thanks to the internet gods.
