on properties i have this need this stupid pagefile.sys reduce... C showing managed by system and other D and E is not set. so how set for this C to reduce this size cos i read that i cant delete this pagefile.sys

i have C ssd D ssd 500 GB on D i not have any pagefile sys and E is 640GB hdd there is also no pagefile.sys

i would try disabling/turning off all swap files, save settings and then restart the computer.
you can then check disk space used and free.

at this point it would be worth while defragging/trimming the drive.

then on C: drive set up the swap file again as > minimum 1024 .. maximum 1024 <
save settings and restart then check used and free space again.

its save my ass now i have ok free 119GB from 222GB and pagefile.sys is only 4.9GB

One thing I pay attention to is having at least 20% free space on the drive. To help in accomplishing that I store most of my data, downloads, etc., on a 4TB NAS drive, 2 x 4TB drives set as RAID 1 for total 4TB capacity.

That 1.5x rule of thumb is at least a decade old and only really (to a degree) applied if your RAM was low e.g. 4GB RAM

In general better to let Windows decide.

If one has a large existing pagefile, set it say to 5GB, reboot the set it to auto. Large pagefile will be gone.

i myself use a page file of 1024/1024 and have this page file set and locked at these settings
but the page file is in RamDrive not on my M2 SSD and i only have it as legacy if some programs look for a page file.

but your space/storage problem seems to be sorted.
