Slow getting updates to W11

W11 pro beta
The system is approved by Microsoft for running W11, but after not running it for 2 years, it seems to be stuck on 22H2. The last update was 22H2 22621.5039 installed on 26th March 2025. The system is an Athlon 3000G, 8Gb ram, on a Gigabyte A320M-H motherboard with an M2 nvme of 500Gb.
Will it be best to be patient and just check Windows update regularly? I have Windows Update set to get the latest updates as soon as they are available.

I don’t believe Windows Update will automatically update you from 22H2 to 24H2. At the very least you would probably need to use the enablement package to get you to 23H2 first.

I don’t think it needs to be complicated. As far as I understand it, It’s simply a fact that you can’t jump from 22H2 to 24H2 via Windows Update. Hence the enablement package to 23H2.

Good news, I downloaded and ran KB5027397 enablement package for 23H2 on the pc and after the restart visited Windows update and KB5053657 has started. I will be happy with 23H2 for the time being. This pc I am using at the moment is badgering me to do a beta update as I write this.

The 23H2 is definitely installed, but there are a couple of things that don't quite add up.

Simple, follow the directions in this video. Works perfectly EVERY TIME.
You will not need a USB, and the directions are straightforward and simple.
Follow them exactly, and your PC will be updated.

This system I'm running right now had been setting dormant for a year or so. It still had 22H2 on it. I kept messing with update until I finally got to 24H2 I am now totally up to date With 24H2.

I have just added that pc to the insider programme (beta) and now it is installing 10.0.22635.5097. I will keep that pc on 23H2, the one I am using now is on 24H2, also beta, which is listed System 2. The third pc getting the update is very similar spec as my System 1 except the motherboard is a Gigabyte.

Now things are really moving, the pc is getting 10.0.26120.3653. This looks like it will be automatically become 24H2, but I can live with that.
