Well @Berton you gave me a golden tip. I plugged a 64G stick into my Asus/merlin router and followed their SIMPLE instructions with the USB app within and voila I have some storage accessible by BOTH my pcs and NO INTERFERENCE FROM Microsoft CREDENTIALS MGR. Oh have I really escaped from goadamm Microsoft tentacles? That CR thing is useless, its unreliable and thoroughly obstructive. It doesnt work properly and Microsoft wants you to save all your bits on its cloud acc - how evil is that. What gets me is that this (so called ) security sticking plaster cant be controlled properly with admin privileges, so when it goes wrong the IT guy cant fix it (legitimately)As was mentioned earlier, we do use Networking a bit differently. I have a 2TB NAS drive with RAID 1 [2 x 2TB] connected to my Wireless Router by Ethernet cable. I can access it from computers either Wired or Wireless/Wi-Fi. I created a folder on the NAS named for the various computers I have then Map that folder from the same-named computer. If working on a 'foreign' machine I Map the Public folder on it.
This paranoid privacy thing is totally out of control, cobbled together by nerds and tested on stoopid consumers
Im certain a 10 yr old half wit hacker would make utter nonsense out of Microsoft pathetic attempt at network security
Doesnt anyone here see how ludicrous the whole situation has become?
