I asked about the ONT because y'all said to access the router's settings in order to be able to access 1fichier so I thought accessing ONT's settings might fix the problem. But how can I know the ONT's maker and model? And what does your lag problem have to do with this subject?
If I was asking like a network expert I wouldn't make questions regarding concepts, don't you think? I wouldn't even be here and I'd fix the problem myself. Again, you're not forced to waste time with me if you don't want to. I didn't know one could only insult others by calling names, even more since you previously actually insulted my english which in turn led me to call you the mentioned names you are complaining about. Unlike what you state, other users really tried to help me and answered me and you even had a discussion with one of them. If you can understand me, then why do you complain? I also didn't state I was an expert in english language. Yes, it really isn't easy to understand what you state.
What if I don't understand what's stated on Google, have you thought? Like you state, you have no obligation to help me, so why do it and waste sleep time, then? At the limit I can simply use a VPN like the one the other user mentioned so because of that I wouldn't lose much.
1fichier sent me a short and stupid answer like I already told and I'm not being answered by Meo's support. Anyway, I tried accessing the site using neighbour's PCs via ethernet and Wi-Fi and their phones via Wi-Fi and I couldn't as well and I activated bridge mode on my router and directly connected my PC to the router via ethernet and I still can't access it. Are you happy now?
Well, take a photo of the ONT and it might help us figure out who made it. As for the lag problem, if you really must know without having to be the worm in your intestine as the chinese saying goes. I am telling you that what I have to go through in order to help you. If you were someone who actually has common sense, you would already know to keep the amount of messages to a minimum so you don't cause too much of a hassle for the other person. Remember helping you is a obligation and not a right. So are you going to tell me when you ask for help, your intention is to make their life a living hell just to help you or are you hoping they will help you without too much hassle on them. This is common sense and considered rude and lack of respect if you don't even understand such basic ethics as a human being. It is almost similar to when you ask for help from a friend and they said they have not eat yet, are you going to atleast tell them to eat first or are you going to care less if they ate or not and only fix your problem. Now you know what I am talking about because to put it simply, in a way, you are being extremely selfish meaning you only think about yourself and inconsiderate to others who are trying to help you since you never even looked at the circumstances for the other person(s) helping you including their time which you have demonstrated from your responses are worthless to you and when the other person has to actually tell you, it implies the level of intelligence you actually have or atleast gives others that impression.
I never insulted your english and you just took it the wrong way as it's called constructive criticism and unless you saw it or heard it, you will not even know the tone of voice it is said. So are you trying to tell me now that every translator out there is insulting the person they are helping to translate when they are trying to help the person understand what is being said? All I said was you are not proficient in the english language to understand what I am saying and valid which you confirmed more than once in your responses even before the other person was involved, since when was that an insult? name calling or like what the other person said is considered online harassment as it is basically verbal bullying which includes name calling, insults, teasing, intimidation, homophobic or racist remarks, or verbal abuse. You are just overly sensitive for yourself and insensitive and inconsiderate when it comes to others which is proven from your actions and responses.
Besides, Am I helping you or are you helping me which is the main point. It's almost you are living in someone else's house, are you going to insult person in any shape or form? Try it and see what happens. Same thing applies here. Even if I insult you mistakenly and for that, I apologize but remember you still gain from the help. Now if I really took the insult as a insult, do you think I would still be talking to you now? I would have stopped responding and blocked your profile permanently.
Go visit a Toastmasters club in your area if you want to know how to communicate and you will understand what real criticism is. Well, the problem is other people did not have to keep replying to you, one reply after another for the last 3 days and when someone is hot and basically going through hell trying to help you, you will understand why. Go and count all the responses in the entire thread and take a look at how many came from me as a % and how many actually came from the each of the others who you are claiming to help. I mean I don't know what to tell you if you can't understand what I or google says, other than maybe find someone proficient in both english and portuguese that can translate it into something at a level of communications you can understand? Remember we are helping based on our capacity, we are not going to act as a translator to satisfy your needs, I mean you can always hire a computer/networking expert locally and hope they can solve the problem. And if google does not work for you, use a search engine with contents that you understand. I already told you I am not the best at explaining things because first you have to talking at the same level of knowledge to understand things fluently. Otherwise, it will be like a chicken talking to a duck as there will be a communications or language barrier. Even my friends who are from Brazil as I mentioned, they improve their english by talking to people and learning as time goes because they have a motive to learn and when they don't understand something, they do somehow learn on their own to improve their english skills both written and verbally. Yes, there are always people who has poorer skills than one's own safe as there are always higher mountains. No different than Bill Gates was the richest in the world for a long time, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk comes out of nowhere and surpasses him.
You are asking about a technical issue and until you learn one way or another, how do you expect to understand it? Basically, you are trying to run before you even learn to walk as another way of putting it. When someone tells you to try something, try it and then report the results. Well, unlike other people, I always consider others problems including strangers more important than myself, it's called giving back to the world since either I don't help at all or I will help without eating and without sleeping until the problem is solved within my capacity.
Are the neighbors in the same building as you or how far away are they from you? Remember what I said earlier, if they are in the same building, then try asking people a little further away as the point is to see where you will no longer see the problem, atleast hopefully. Why would me being happy make a difference? It's your problem, not mines remember. When you complain to Meo and to the government regulatory authorities, you will want to present your case with everything you have tried to prove it is not you the user and your computer(s) being the problem. If you didn't try, you do not have a valid complaint as you are lacking data to prove the problem is Meo and their liability and not on your side being your liability for lack of better term. I mean all you had to say was, let me try it later or something, plain and simple instead of the answer earlier where you assumed it's the same thing as a VPN, a VPN is a Virtual Private Network not a real network.
When you did the bridge mode with the PC, were you able to connect to other internet sites? Don' t take it the wrong way but sometimes people forget to do simple things first just like I completely forgot to tell you to connect a computer directly to the router with the router in bridge mode a few days ago. As for Meo, remember you are their customer and they have a legal obligation to help with the problem. In the U.S., if the ISP does not help, we can complain to the Federal Communications Commission which is a government entity to complain and the FCC will serve the complaint on them to respond and fix the issue or else they will get fined providing you have a valid complaint. So not sure how it works in Portugal, as communications/telecom carriers are usually regulated by the government which in your case is known as The National Authority for Communications (ANACOM).
