I cannot get the KB5030505 Configuration update which accompanies The above Cumulative update to install. It constantly loops and notifies that the PC will restart in 3 minutes. It's not stopped and I don't know what to do with it either... It never installs and simply is a maddening situation to say the least. I hope you have success in solving your issue presented here.View attachment 73842
I cannot enable the updates
I had a rather devilish time with all those troubleshooters and I say, they all were shooting blanks!! Nothing thus far, outside of deleting the 26 Sept update have been effective. I do believe that the Configuration update was to complete activation of the other release update. I must also relate that this specific update totally whacked my entire Nvidia graphics and audio files and drivers so that they've went the Lemming way and I'm having an adventure locating how to restore Nvidia on my ASUS A 17. The GPU isn't recognized at all and sorting that out is quite abit of time spent.. I do thank you for your advice and appreciate it grandly.Try the update troubleshooter. Settings, system, troubleshoot, other troubleshooters, Windows update
But of course, I will gladly send off Google to return what intel it gathers and disseminate it, I shant anticipate anything less than solving this mash-up. My gratitude once more. While you wait for more replies, may I suggest Googling that error code?
?
Actually, it does the restarting itself after "installing" the update. Then it's Groundhog day all over again.. Strange that. I'm looking into what Google pulled up. Wait one whilst I look over these findings..Have you restarted your computer? It's best to do this as a restart is actually better than shutting down and starting.
I sorted out quite alot of fellows who are subjected to this same bang-up and Microsux has not even addressed all those inquiries as yet it seems....I'm in with the lot of them I fear...bloody dreadful if you ask me..Have you restarted your computer? Hi!I sorted out quite alot of fellows who are subjected to this same bang-up and Microsux has not even addressed all those inquiries as yet it seems....I'm in with the lot of them I fear...bloody dreadful if you ask me..
I don't agree with that assessment. If I go by MSI's update page, other than the BIOS , all other drivers are outdated. It is safer to install driver updates from the computer manufacturer's pages for your specific model
Indeed.We must agree to differ
Good afternoon and hello. Yes, I've restore points and System Images, however nothing results from those. I had a catastrophic crash which resulted after I initially attempted a Restore Point made prior to 26 Sept. Release and the follow up config update. To date, my ASUS has been battered and such but remains active (barely) from it all. I think I retired this morning about 0315 and it was strung together with wire and 100 mph tape, which fired up without incident later this morning.Hi!
Do you have a recent Restore Point created? If so, work the system back to before this mishap and
may I suggest you follow the Patch Lady's advice:
Preview Updates always screw up your OS. As a precaution, I always defer updates at least two
weeks. I like to see what comes of them before I actually involve myself in trying to fix what MS
has done.
As for the Intel drivers, would be best to have Intel install them through their own app.
They won't comprise all of their drivers but, the most important ones are available to install from:

I'm right in there and quite observant, I wish to express gratitude to everyone who has commented on this problem and offered their views. it's all good and I must say that I find those I've spoken with, charming and polite. Polite society does exist and all here are sterling individuals. We must agree to differ.
When you tried to restore your notebook, did you deactivate the AV (anti-virus) app before restoring.I initially attempted a Restore Point made prior to 26 Sept.
Yes, you reflect my same thoughts regarding specific organic updates. I've attempted the Nvidia drivers from ASUS and also Nvidia with no luck at all. Much the same with AMD. Slightly screwed on this end, we're not dead, we're not dead yet... (Blutengel)It is safer to install driver updates from the computer manufacturer's pages for your specific model. Those Intel updates screwed up my laptop in the past.
Oh my, I didn't even think about an AV, what a blonde moment for me. I did however, turn off the Ad blockers before manipulating all these updates and downloads.. I'll look to this and see if that will make a difference on all aspects...When you tried to restore your notebook, did you deactivate the AV (anti-virus) app before restoring.
If not, this is why it did not either complete or messed up.
