I've updated a number of systems to 24H2 without any issues. Just updated my wife's laptop and when I try to create an image with Macrium Reflect I'm getting a VSS error (Failed to create Volume Snapshot - Failed 0x8004230f !dispatch error #8463).

I know this is a system problem not a Macrium problem, but I also tried Hasleo and that won't work either (vss error).

I changed VSS service from manual to automatic,, re-registered the VSS service, and rebooted several times. I tried to run system file checker, but it simply opens and immediately closes. So far everything else seems to be working fine.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was able to run sfc /scannow, but no help. Reached out to Macrium, they reviewed the error log, and said sorry - the problem is with Windows not Macrium. Fix your OS. Yeah, okay.

Bottom line - everything seems to be fine with the single exception of inability to create an image. Assuming nothing else goes awry, I'll leave it. It's my wife's laptop and not a critical system. Worst case, at some point I'll have to wipe and reinstall Windows. Still, if there are any other thoughts or suggestions I'd welcome hearing them.
