Solved Want to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro from old desktop Windows 10 Pro

Overview:
My old Desktop PC had Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and I got the free upgrade to Windows 10 Ultimate 64bit which is still installed on old PC but hardware won't allow upgrade to Windows 11.

So I built a new Desktop PC and installed Windows 11 Home with Prod ID from an Windows 10 OEM disk I bought a year ago.
All installed and upgraded new PC to Windows 11 Home and is running great but.....
Now that I've been running it awhile Win11 Home I need some of the things the Pro version has like Remote Desktop which is not available in the Win 11 Home Version.

Question?????
If I wanted to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro can I somehow use my old PC Windows 10 Ultimate to start a fresh install on my new PC so I can get Windows 11 Pro?

Is this possible?
Is there a simpler or better way to do this?
Do I need to do a fresh install with my OLD Windows 7 Ultimate with Prod ID? Then to Windows 10 Ultimate then to Windows 11 Pro?

Hope I clearly state it so you can understand.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated?

Never mind I found my solution.
I just entered a new Prod Key from my OLD Windows 7 Ultimate Disk and it magically upgraded to Windows 11 Pro.
Way too easy.
Very quick also.

The product keys from Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10... work for Windows 11. :-)

I have not noticed any major differences in Win11 Home and now Win11 Pro.
Didn't take long to update to update with Prod ID and didn't take long installing any downloads.
So Woo Weee I'm running Win11 Pro for whatever its worth. :hug:

The default way of producing the windows versions is to build a master setup, equivalent to Enterprise, Usually), and then, switch off the functionality that is not included in the lower versions. When it comes to an upgrade from one version to another, such as Home to Pro, it's a simple task to switch on the functionality required, ( the additional items used for the functions are already there in place), and just need activation), with a small coding change, often a single registry key. Obviously the code needed to activate the functionality in the upgrade process is not usually widely available ;)

Sweet! I had forgotten that I had an old copy of Win 8 Pro hanging around and just upgraded Win 11 to Pro! Thanks all!
