Actually, I started out having a computer a long time before I got a smart phone.
I DO NOT HAVE A WEBSITE. I USED to have a website. At Inmotion Hosting I have NEVER HAD a website. It cost me $59/year for the LAST 3 YEARS at Inmotion Hosting. Now they want $263 for 2 years. Period. The 12-year-old I talked to just COULDN'T find ANYTHING to bring the price down to a reasonable level.
My DOMAIN is NOT WITH INMOTION HOSTING. It is APPARENTLY owned by fastdomains, which is owned by BlueHost, which is where I was 4 years ago when I DID have a website. And every year fastdomains sends me a bill for my domain.
SO, ALL I want to do is take my several email addresses (8-10), each of which uses my domain, and have them somewhere reasonable. I have several because they do different jobs - my main email, domestic associates main email, email that's ONLY on the laptop, email that's ONLY on the desktop (when I travel with the laptop I need to send email that ONLY gets onto the desktop so it's there when I get home, for example). Etc.
BUT, this topic has answered my fundamental question - THERE IS NO NEED TO PAY A WEB HOSTING SITE $10/MONTH just to have my domain so I can get and send email.
This should make the process simpler, and I've got a month to dump Inmotion Hosting.
And BTW, I think Inmotion is TRYING to use the Internet Grease on me...
