Where Did The Code Go??

Part of the 2 Step Verification Process to access Facebook , they Text me a Code which I then should enter.. That is far as I get as I have Not received any such Code.. .. Therefore I'm unable to proceed farther until I get a Code.. This has just happened recently as I've had no problems in the past.. Any idea where the problem lies, Thoughts Opinions Appreciated.. Cheers Thanks

Well a couple of things come to mind: 1) Are you using/checking the correct email? 2) Are you using a regular email or a "temporary" one?

I have the same problem with Yahoo Mail, the text never arrives. Fortunately there's also a 60 second countdown to a 'resend code' link appearing. Second time round it does arrive.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

Sadly FB is one of the backward companies that still use/force the insecure SMS. MS and Google no longer require it. Banks neither.

My bank does require it each time I access from a different computer, either phone text or E-Mail.
