Hi folks,
A friend has given me a desktop pc to look at.

KB5044285 won't install. It gets to the 100% install mark, and then fails.

Windows is activated, it pulled in some other updates and installed the fine tonight.

Registry has been cleaned, file has been downloaded to install off line, but still same issue.

It appears that the machine is using:

Win 11 Home
Ver 222H2
OS build 22621.1702
Experience Windows feature experience pack 1000.22641.1000.0

From what I can gather, ver 22H2 is now no longer supported by Microsoft:

If this is right, how do I get around this and install the latest ver of win 11 home with out rebuilding the machine ?

Thanks in advance

if you're trying to stay on 22h2 but up to the latest update/kb. if you want 23h2, just download the iso for that and install it. not sure why you're on 22h2, but whatever build you want is the iso you need to download.

really looking the latest build - but need to be sure that updating from 22h2 will (a) fix the issue and (b) allow windows to fully update moving forward (ie not have to go through this again)
