Well a weeks gone bye, and my problem is STILL not solved.
It sort of worked okay for a bit and then I had repeat the 'spool printer' thingy to get out of the mess ... 4 times.
However, I have had a thought from more investigations that the problem might be associated with the fact that my Win 11 Pro PC is using the 5 GHz Wifi (and 2.4 Ghz as required) and the printer (quite old) can only access the 2.4 Ghz WiFi.
So even though they 'connect' via the router, I have an inkling that this is the route cause.
Does anybody have any comments about that sort of scenario?
