Reliable/trusted?

del OneDrive with content in the cloud, dumped to local drive:

Running scan now: chose, c:\ and 'ticked box' affecting system performance.

the "duplicate" tab will be quite extensive\large < previous 'scans only' showed 32k and 85k duplicates, from Ccleaner free, and Alldups.>

Questions:

1. Do Not 'tick' 'affecting system performance and Scan Again?

2. Is this a reliable/trusted program?

3. At the end of the scan, I think 'clean' will remove all on the list. < next boot: bootable or maybe>

4. edited to remove silly question

5. This is like the 'Hail Mary' with seconds on the clock if it works. Celebrate

6. reset windows, don't save the data.

7. Windirstat is file by file comparison scan, using 'affecting sys performance' very long scan.

Tools not needed before, ranging form 'minmmal value to WTF' crash course learning curve. Hence some silly questions. Thanks for any & all comments!!!

I'm not sure what you're talking about, but if you want to remove OneDrive, do it the right way.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
thanks! It's the cleanup after a botched uninstall, that I'm dealing with now!

I did manage to un-synch my account to OneDrive! Uploading/downloading btwn. Cloud <onedrive>/local machine stopped. So the cloud had a ton of stuff
that was stuck in the cloud. When I deleted 'onedrive' on the local machine, that broke the dam holding stuff, all that stuff populated the local machine.
Resulting I 100k saved stuff was mingled with the stuff being used. Causing many problems!

Now windows shows msg. 'install' one drive + I previously un synched the acct used by onedrive. OneDrive is Dead. But the dumped files, via Revo uninstall of OneDrive onto local machine is the issue

First round of duplicate finders, found stuff with attributes that could be deleted. Not duplicates seen for Bitdefender, Edge, MBAM, Windows.
At first seems easy, run uninstaller as admin & del. That failed!

Edge - deleting edge is a one session, uninstall, reboot and Edge is back (edge is very deep in the os). MY plan Revo <including scan for leftovers> uninstall Edge, then run AllDups as admin. Hopefully dups for edge do not appear on scan for leftovers. Reboot will install Edge, eun the scan again, hope for no dupes for edge

Biddefender - Two ideas, in windows, turn off Bitdefender, off all protections (ransomware, anti-spam, FW, AV, All Then admin AllDups and maybe it can delete dups. If that fails, 'safe mode' Admin run alldups.

If those efforts fail - windows 'reset' tic 'do not save data', then reinstall apps. The knew windows, would prompt, to activate OneDrive and sync. Ignore the message forever.

If that fails buy an apple machine

100K of dups, not worth it to change attributes one at a dime for deletion

Revo 'forced' uninstall might be useful?????

The crap shoot is, those files with 'S' in attrib, that's a 'system file' so 'AllDups' makes a deletes a file with an S in it it may not boot.

When a broken OS, fails, it brings up a page of options, one use backup etc. On that screen is reset windows an option?

This is the Rubik Cube of problems!
