In 21H2 it was enough just to delete the original file appraiserres.dll In 22H2 if the file is missing it fails, so you must replace it with an empty dummy. Also if you stay online it will start upgrading and fail at some point before the first restart due to some secret online compatibility check. If you are disconnected from the internet, it cannot do this test, gives up and proceeds with the upgrade. I have confirmed that at least four times with four different unsupported computers, it cannot be a coincidence. After that I have successfully upgraded at least ten unsupported computers by staying disconnected from the internet during the upgrade.
