Post a share link into this thread.


Perform an in place upgrade repair using a bootable Windows 11 MCT.
(make sure that there is no connection to the internet during the upgrade)

If there is a failure then run setupdiag > post a share link with all generated files

Just a thought... I think the ISO doesn't have the Single language version, that is why the upgrade fails. Maybe you should upgrade to standard Windows 11 Home first, not single language, and then upgrade to 22H2.

I am not 100% sure, but Windows 11 Home Single language and Windows 11 Home are different versions. You can upgrade from Windows Store, or from Settings, System, Activation, Change Windows key, if you already have a Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 8/10 Home key you can use. Just Google it before you buy anything. If the cost is not too high I would upgrade to Windows 11 Pro instead.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

This means that a device or application affects the upgrade. Disconnect all peripherals (printer, scanner, card reader etc). I would also disable non-essential devices in Device Manager (sound card, TV tuner, LAN, Wi-Fi, internal card reader, fingerprint sensor etc). Also disable any non-Microsoft services and startup applications. Then try to upgrade again.

installation again failed after i removed printer drivers and paused the 3rd party antivirus...i guess its time to call it quits for now

If you have spent too much time fixing it, I think it's not worth another second. Backup all your data and do a clean installation. Unfortunately we all have been at the same situation once or twice all these years we are using our computers. I can relate...

I have the same issue. Can't upgrade to 22H2. WhyNOtWin11 reports everything is fine. As above all usual workarounds fail.

I am already on Windows 11 just not on 22h2.

Currently on 21H2 (OS Build 220000.1335) on a dell alienware aurora r13 that came from factory with windows 11. has tpm, uefi. etc etc.
There is a general bug here and Microsoft has not yet fixed it.

If standard upgrade from Windows Update fails, treat your computer as unsupported and follow the instructions on the respective thread to upgrade. You must download the latest ISO, mount it and start Setup from there. You should also disconnect from the internet before upgrading and disable any applications that could interfere with the upgrade, such as Antivirus, CCleaner etc.
