As per blog, I guess this is just the 1st step for fully supporting this change. Taking it slowly.

[Storage]

When formatting disks from the command line using the format command, we’ve increased the FAT32 size limit from 32GB to 2TB.

I could format this drive with FAT32 using the format command in DISKPART, but the context menu for formatting a drive still does not show the FAT32 option for a drive bigger than 32GB.

The FAT32 option on this context menu is still only available up to 32GB.

It's all about money. We consumers backup and restore our systems in a completely different way than for instance big corporations do. We don't pay enough for such features that it would make sense for MS to maintain such convenience software. All the tools are available but not in a similar package like Macrium Reflect or similar tools.

We consumers look at the whole thing from a completely different perspective compared to huge corporations with the full Microsoft experience in a 1000+ computers environment worldwide.

I'll stop doing any insider testing on build 27xxx if MS does not give me a tool to back up the damn Windows system locally.
I don't really like Macrium, the Windows Image Backup which is built in Windows was working just fine and easier to use.
I could backup any of the systems in a multi boot machine without any complication. Easy to restore too.
I want it back working!

Looks like all they can do at MS is breaking things that work.

Its still all there in Windows if you need it -- e.g dism capture image ffu etc etc. It's just not available in any user friendly sort of way for non technical individuals. Also doing a bare metal restore needs some sort of bootable OS -- usually using the install media in command mode (repair system) etc) will enable this type of recovery to be done and there are various recovery options too.

I agree a simple basic backup utility would / should really be included with the OS though. Data backup / archiving is a far more complex issue that each individual user needs to address and implement themselves.

Can't see any problems so far with this release - although Enterprise rather than Pro.

my laptop pin was problem because during uup damp before 2nd execution i check safe boot and minimum requirement so i can't access to my laptop because pin problem finally put back my 512 GB nvme ( i already upgrade ITB with cloning) then is ok again MS asking password ok i know my paswword second verification i give the last 4 digit phone number but i already made feedback to MS may be 7 month ago do not send code to my yahoo because when I login yahoo with password yahoo send code to my phone but actually he never never sent me code please MS now do not send code to my yahoo useless my laptop i can't access now

MS is only good in making useless experimental features, but they cannot get a basic System Image Backup working.

That is true but can you tell me why as examples, MS includes such things as the the X Box games apps and concentrates on making new Emojis? I don't see big corporations wanting any of this. I have asked before and never got an answer. IMHO, the programmers are more concerned about showing Mommy and Daddy how smart they are instead of fixing known problems and making Windows 11 the best OS available.
