Windows 11 New Feature Recall help

I disabled updates for one year just to see what would happen... Nothing happened. No attack no nothing. "The only time did get attacked was with ransomware and updates were enabled" I also did another experiment with no AV for one year. No Infection... Nothing! So if I can with no repercussion's do all that! What dose that say for Windows updates??? Just my experience with this.

Wont hackers have auto scanning tools that scan the Internet for all devices connected to it and any device that is not updated and is vulnerable and it notifies the hacker & hence you be put on the hackers target list? Or maybe I watch a lot of Hollywood movies lol?

Seriously for example there was a video on YouTube where a person connected a Windows 7 computer to the Internet and within 24hrs he was targeted. Questions are how did the hackers know this person has windows 7? There must be a scanning tool that hackers use that scans billions of devices for vulnerabilities right?

Correct. This is possible. Websites visited can also exploit attacks for systems that are not patched.

I disabled updates for one year just to see what would happen... Nothing happened. No attack no nothing. "The only time did get attacked was with ransomware and updates were enabled" I also did another experiment with no AV for one year. No Infection... Nothing! Just because you got "lucky" or don't notice being infected doesn't mean you are not infected. Perhaps you don't really go to any new websites, don't install unusual programs, and take other precautions that lessen the impact. While it is true that windows 11 is more secure out of the box, it is dangerous to not update your system. Just because it seems your system is secure, does not mean it is. Maybe your system is fine.

Patching your system is kind of like a vaccine. If everyone patches their systems, it helps protect everyone. For those who do not, they can be turned into crypto miners, botnets, etc that can be used to attack patched systems looking for vulnerabilities.

By protecting your systems, it helps protect others. Patching and updating your system is important to help keep nefarious stuff at bay, not just for you but for everyone.

I see those screenshots must take up a lot of space or those screenshots are uploaded to Microsoft own unlimited cloud not your own OneDrive if you have signed into your windows 11 using your email address right?

They're stored encrypted on your local drive and nothing is sent to Microsoft. I've written before I like the idea of a digital assistant to help me retrieve info but Recall is simply the wrong form for it.

How you uninstall or permanently Disable Copilot in Windows 11 pro?
Neither! The post was about Recall. If your computer doesn't meet the specs it won't install and you don't have bother trying to disable or uninstall it.

So websites are like the scan tools for vulnerabilities/exploits. Any well known popular websites you know that still do this? So its only through websites, nothing else? Adult content sites are the most popular and I assume these sites have these built in scan tools right without the user on the site requiring to click on a prompt right?

Microsoft should allow us to choose & install its updates like they did with Windows 7.

It doesn't even need to be actively visiting a website to be infected, just like that windows 7 machine, it was found online with a known vulnerable version of the OS and was attempted to be attacked. And the attack worked.

Microsoft have the decryption keys correct?
No, same with bitlocker

I fear this Ai fad can be used against us, your Ai personal assistant can be controlled by the hacker and be used against you doing all the hard work for the hacker, the hacker just relaxes doesn't need to lay a finger on the keyboard as the Ai will do everything.

I also seen a youtube video where Government agencies such as Darpa & Cia tell manufacturers to fit hardware backdoors or install software backdoors into all devices that can connect to the Internet so the Government can protect us from the Terrorists crashing planes into our homes.

Our Governments even accused China and Huawei of doing the same thing with their devices.

So the question is if governments can use the ready invasive tech to gain easy access to our devices without hacking as its ready for them and without our permission then Hackers can use them ready tools too right?

Your own Ai personal assistant can be turned a Spy against you and the Ai does all the work so there will be Redundancies/Layoffs at these Government agencies I bet.

There needs to be a licence requirement (like a driving test) before people are allowed to buy a computer.

A few of the questions should be:

Are you paranoid or concerned that a Gov/group/entity/actor is out to get you or even care about you as an individual?
Do you do anything on the internet that you don’t want anyone to know about?
Do you think there is a process that can stop Microsoft from collecting data from your Windows computer?

If a person answers YES to any two of these questions, a license to use a computer should be denied for their own benefit and well being of their mental health.

Its just worried on how Ai will affect all of us, not just me in the coming years. Governments should be paranoid of Ai once they lose control of it:eek1:

Its just worried on how Ai will affect all of us, not just me in the coming years. Governments should be paranoid of Ai once they lose control of it:eek1:
It's easy to be scared of a lot of things. But privacy and stuff has been dead for a long time, so just kinda embrace the fact the bad stuff has already happened. Could it get worse? Sure, but worrying doesn't do anything. Worrying won't help the situation.

Just enjoy life while you can, and focus on being there for loved ones. Worrying about something outside of your control never has any benefit than making you crazy.

And also, the AI that exists right now isn't actual true AI like in the movies. It cannot act on its own.

Anyway, as you seem to be confused and think that “Recall is gonna get ya”

One way or another, Recall's gonna get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya. (to the the tune of the Blondie One Way Or Another song.)

CoPilot exists on Windows

Recall is a feature, that is pre-release that has been delayed (over security and privacy concerns), that by default only runs on the new CoPilot+ PC's that just came out.

So, you have nothing to concern yourself with. You don't have a CoPilot+ PC with the snapdragon processor, and Recall isn't in Windows 11 Pro releases yet.

No real reason to remove CoPilot.....it's presence doesn't mean Recall can sneak it's way onto your PC.

What's the difference between Copilot & Copilot+? Copilot+ is better by the sounds of it but what is sacrificed to get this better?

Who knows Microsoft could have pushed out Recall as a Beta update to millions of windows PC's without their consent and because windows users no longer can choose & install updates they want. To take screenshots every 5secs and to key log every stroke of a keyboard does not require fancy new Ai hardware components like NPU's neural processor units. Is Microsoft known to be trusted?

I say this because there's videos on YouTube of people complaining about the recall feature by MS? Why there's videos of this of something that has never been released yet you say?

NO

Again, your PC wont support it. Not sure how many times people need to say this?

You shouldn’t watch videos then. Maybe they were on the preview builds.
Most of them are just paranoid and see things that aren’t there maybe?
