CoPilot is a free AI service that comes with your Microsoft account on windows 11 and is coming to Windows 10 as well. What's the difference between Copilot & Copilot+? Copilot+ is better by the sounds of it but what is sacrificed to get this better?
Who knows Microsoft could have pushed out Recall as a Beta update to millions of windows PC's without their consent and because windows users no longer can choose & install updates they want. To take screenshots every 5secs and to key log every stroke of a keyboard does not require fancy new Ai hardware components like NPU's neural processor units. Is Microsoft known to be trusted?
I say this because there's videos on YouTube of people complaining about the recall feature by MS? Why there's videos of this of something that has never been released yet you say?
CoPilot+ is a range of next-gen AI features installed on CoPilot+ PC. CoPilot+ requires an AI PC with an NPU capable of 40 TOPS or higher.
I trust Microsoft as I choose to use their operating system for some of my machines. I also trust some in Apple as i have some of their machines. And if I didn't, I'm a long time certified Linux systems engineer for a rather large organization and could easily run machines on Linux if i was really worried.
These videos are people who are speculating and worrying about recall. I'll be honest, I don't really like the concept and I would probably turn it off. Microsoft originally said it would automatically be enabled and you could shut it off. When they back peddled they said, it would at most be available at some point, but not enabled by default...you would have to turn it on if you wanted it. Either way, i'm not bothered at all, because I have no intention of buying a new CoPilot+ AI Windows PC.....so I won't have access to recall anyway.
