Windows keeps getting stuck in a loop with this error. On day two with this.... "Checking for Updates", then times out.
sfc /scannow ... clean
DISM any! just sits there does nothing, as screen shot.
So I have turned off Windows Update service for the time being.... or thought I had :)
Wouldn't mind this ?? so much, but stopping shutdowns and restarts, makes it very !!!

Any ideas welcome :)

Added new screen shot

Windows Build/Version
Microsoft Windows Version 10.0.26100.2454

Thanks for replying @zbook, Windows update now failing with new error code 0x80080005.
This just feels like i'm boxed in can't move in any direction!!
Tried to do in-place upgrade... 30mins later still had not passed 14% getting updates! almost like the old dial-up modem days (I'm on 1Gb broadband)
I will try to remove last Windows updates to see if it resolves this....

===========================
Update:
Removed last two updates KB5046740, KB5048162.
New message, Event 1014 System store corruption detection and repair has completed. Status: 0x0, Total instances of corruption found: 1735, total instances of corruption repaired: 0.
Event id 1015 0 of 1735 instances of system store corruption have been repaired. Unrepaired corruptions may lead to failures in future system servicing.

Ran sfc/scannow 100% all ok.
