Windows 11 removed Reset Network Adapter

For the last few weeks my Windows 11 had Reset Wireless Adapter in it. For some reason after several the Intel Driver Support driver updates or a Windows 11 update has remove this function and the new Run Network Test which literally does nothing.

I never had this type of problem before, is there any way to revert this **** ?

I will have to check tomorrow. But Trevos screenshot shows the Reset Adaptor that was gone. 3 days ago this button was not there and the Reset button would be in the middle along with others

The run network tests doesn't trigger anything.

I had the same issue tonight - while I was in the middle of a pm with @antspants ? I had no wifi for 10 mins or more. Fixed it with the post above #2 ??? No eithernet cable for this laptop

Really odd it just kinda came back on its own all of sudden while i was outside with my friend for a few hours and i didn't use the solutions i wonder what kinda a luck made them all come back i only left in locked sleep mode from 11:30 to 15:30

It has been doing it a lot longer even after doing all recent updates and driver software updates. So frustrating.

Settings -> Network and Internet -> Advanced network settings. It's still there on my 2454 systems.

All i found is a reset that reinstall all components into a jump start reset after a pc restart.

Is this common for any windows home version to have limitations ?

It's still not back to normal....its just run network tests now. I don't have any system restore points to try to go back in time before this. And i'm not going withrough lengthy re-installing of Windows 11.

Is there a Registry Editor under regedit.exe or some sort of downloadable tool to re-enable it, or did Windows decide to stealth kill this function button ?

I'm not too sharp on all this but if you went into Device Manager>Network Adapters and uninstalled the Ethernet/WiFi drivers wouldn't this cause a reset as the drivers would then be downloaded again?

Nope never worked on any computer i owned.

After several windows updates this OS is firm on using a Run Network Tests which seems to do nothing except looking like a fake button.
Why is window downgrading basic troubleshooting when it was fine before October 2024 ?

Do they think most users are getting dumber/lazy and need less buttons ?

Beware if you uninstall Intel Wireless Dual Band drivers, they will NOT be reinstalled by Windows.

You will have to run Legacy Hardware installer and manually reinstall them.

it maybe worthwhile setting the network(s) to manual addressing
i have found i get nearly no problems with Windows and networking if its all set to manual addressing.

bit of a pain to set everything up manually but its normally just a one off.

I avoid those extreme types of solutions. The laptop only uses Intel Driver and Support webpage for the system drivers. I think most in my laptop i is quite
old now. The most complicated things i have ever done is Registry Editor to fix different problems in the past, but it is old i have forgot what it was for.

Unfortunately i have no system restores from 2024 before the end of October 2024 if that could have help.
