  1. Open Settings on Windows 11.
  2. Click on Windows Update.
  3. Click the Update history page on the right side.
  4. Scroll down and under the “Related settings” section, click the Uninstall updates option.
  5. Select the Windows 11 update to remove – for example, KBxxxxxxx.
  6. Click the Uninstall button.



Or restore from a backup.

Easiest way is to just restore from a backup.


Or do you mean... remove it from the download and install section?

Windows Update automatically checks for any updates, at least once a day.
The only way to stop seeing what it found... is to disable automatic updates.

Me, I use WAU Manager. If an update pops up that I don't want... I just "hide" it.
Later on, if I decide I want it.. I can un-hide it.

I've never tried it, but WAU Manager claims to be able to uninstall updates as well...

I may try that, I went back to a image that was made on 8.5.2023 and it took me back to the same place. I may just install it and get it over with. :cool:

It appears from screenshot that that update HAS NOT been installed. It is an update preview at present and will be released as a regular cumulative on 9/12. If you just do not want to see it on that screen click the X to the right of it. Installing update previews are optional during the month prior to when they are released as official and installed automatically to the masses.

To me this app is cool but doesn't per say Block updates bc I tested and work only if at first the install of 11 you don't update but open the app and disable updates thus allow that to handle them

Yeah... I'm on this comp every day. So on Tuesdays and Thursdays... I use WAU Manager to check for updates.
If I see one I don't want... I just hide it. <--- the has no life method. :D

I've always had the registry setting, set to block automatic updates.

Do not do it. You'll be back here asking why something is happening to your PC.
I have the same update waiting and I just click on the X as Glasskuter asked you.
The little program I have posted still works and will effectively hide Any update.
I use it every time we have updates .
