Not unusual for any hardware. Sometimes ther are updates of updates, latter upadtes can't be applied until earlier ones are installed. You may find that some of the updates don't work first time around, they can't be installed until an earlier update is installed and a system reboot.
Yeah, You gotta stop windows from automatically installing what they think is the best driver, Hence the loop it always gets stuck in. Do that and it should be fine
I haven't found a solution for my Realtek audio driver problem. With every new Insider build I have to manually switch from the Realtek audio driver to the HD audio drive.
Its worked on mine, And by worked i mean i have audio. But its crackly af all of a sudden and its really really annoying
On my desktop the Realtek driver will not output the sound to my speakers even tough when I look, the computer shows that something is happening. I did make the setting to stop Windows Update from updating drivers and it still happens. If the HD audio driver ever stops working, I have two USB sound adapters that work.
Yeahhh i had this too! I did fix it though, I believe the method of fixing is buggy af and isn't what it should be. I changed all the quality hz settings etc as well, Ripped out all the drivers for it, Re-installed to get stuck in the install loop of realteks piece of ass, Managed to fix that by turning off the net and stopping windows finding an audio driver cause the realtek one wasnt there, thus it was telling me there was one( There was cause ms kept reinstalling it auto). Once i done that, I ran my audio through boom 3d and im back, Albeit crackly all of a sudden, Thats new.
I Uninstalled all Realtek software, used the option in Device Manager to delete the driver, set Windows Update to not update drivers and used a program to find and uninstall anything referring to Realtek and I still have to change to the HD audio driver every time I update to a new Insider build.
Thats annoying af too man, I bet thats what the mention in every patch notes about that people may have sound issues xD
I have tried the drivers from PowerSpec, Asrock and many unofficial versions. I know the problem will get fixed. It's just a question of when.
Sadly, been there done that. Something on my desktop is causing the Realtek driver not to work on the Insider Dev builds. The driver use to work and MS does know about the problem. I know it will eventually be fixed. I do have sound on my laptop. I don't know about sound on my old desktop. I use Bluetooth speakers on it.
