I have to use a manual IP for stability when I connect to my home network, and it works fine, the problem is that every time I reconnect to the network ie when I reboot my laptop or for any other reason, I have to go into the network settings, click edit and then save (without actually editing anything), for the internet connection to actually work again. This is in the Windows 11 settings, I know you can set a manual IP through control panel but AFAIK that then affects all networks I connect to, I don't want a manual IP for all networks just one specific one. Any ideas?

Try setting it through control panel instead of the new settings panel.

I have some VPNs installed but I don't use them, and they don't start with Windows. I can't set it through control panel because it would then affect every network I connect to, rather than just this specific one I have to use the manual IP on

Yeah I missed you saying that in the first post my apologies.

I see what you are saying now.

You could set up a bat file to set your settings and one to undo them when connecting to other networks.

It it odd its not saving your connection settings though, (I mean that it is but its not sticking on restart) have you tried resetting the network settings?

Not just on restart but any time I disconnect and then reconnect to the network, let me try the network reset.
if that does not work, try doing a netsh winsock reset in command prompt.
