There is a small, but nonzero, chance that a BIOS update will make your PC unbootable. ("Brick it.")

I've had that happen, with my first UEFI motherboard. About 10 years ago. Not since.

Modern bios updates cannot normally be installed on wrong device (surefire way to brick a pc.

There is a small but not zero chance that even if you have right upgrade file, it could go wrong.

It is unclear why you want to update bios?

In the end, it is your choice but understand the risks.
