Thanks! Even me, I have problems customising icons, it requires editing files one by one or going to the registry editor or command prompt and type each drives I want to customise on is a really LONG time especially because I clean install Windows quite a lot.

I made this to fix my problems and everyone's problems on Windows icon customisation. You just click what icon you want to use, then click "Patch drives/folders" and choose a drive or folder to the list.

Note that patching drives requires a registry edit so I made another program (driveIconPatcher) to run as administrator mode so it can edit registry (HKLM).

Also note that patching folders needs a Explorer restart, but patching drives does not need an Explorer restart, but sometimes it may need a Windows restart.

Why not download icofx (the last free version -- still fine) and create your own icons --simply use program and create an ico file.

Where you might have problems is linking an icon to a "Metro UI" or store type of app though -- for "classical" .exe type apps then it's fine

Others have shown how to link icons to those types of apps so a bit of googling should work.

Conversion for standard icons is quite a deal.
The main template is in 256px, so to ensure the best conversion, it is better to use multiple (such as 512 or 1024) if you really need to first work with big images.
Then, you have the 7 other sizes, which cannot all be divided from the main one (which needs shifting here and there before conversion) with reworking edges and corners.
Some kind of work.


I found a 2023 Photoshop folder on DeviantArt which is rather good, but blurred in small sizes.
I cleaned the edges and corners, and recreated the small sizes in the standard layout.

        


I still haven't quite finished readjusting the set previously posted here, but it's looking good so far.

You guys, i am a graphic designer and years ago i started making custom folder icons for all the folders on my computer and then eventually decided to pot this online for anyone else. Okay, so I used Rectify11Installer's source code and found some of its reworked folders in the Files.7z directory. So I decided to provide 7 folder icons with an extra "Vault Folder" icon that I've made, so here they are. (those 7 folder icons are made by the Rectify11 team, and the Vault Folder icon made by me.)

I've decided to remake the original Windows Backup icon, and I also created the Cloud Backup Folder as well, so yeah.

Board Games Icons

The Board Games icon was found on the Widgets panel from the taskbar frequently displaying new games, I decided to remake the icon and turned it into a folder icon. Right now, we display 2 icons for the exact Board Games icon.

Microsoft Edge Sidebar Icons (Reworked - PNG only)

Since I already did the Board Games icons, 1 hour later, I am gonna remake the icons again but with only Microsoft Edge Sidebar Icons. Sadly, I can't make the icons bubblier, so I decided to match the other Fluent icons used in other Windows apps. Here they are!

I have 32 icons in total, some icons are reworked, some icons are custom-made, and some icons already existed in TizianoMod's "System App Icons" thread. However, I've used one of it's icons from Microsoft Edge's removed feature "Edge Bar". The icons remade are News, Bing, and LinkedIn, the Theater icon is also remade since Edge Canary added this feature to the "Customize Sidebar" menu. However, I can't do the older sidebar icons in earlier Microsoft Edge versions due to some issues remaking the icons, but that's good enough.

Plus, I finally found the News & Interests link used in Edge Bar, now I've had the link for that: Microsoft News (It still works after Edge Bar is removed) Right now, you could add it to your sidebar in Edge for quicker access, it also works on mobile.

Windows Copilot Icon

I found this icon in a random edge services website, so I copied the icon and pasted it on Paint.NET. I removed the white background and resized it to make the icon fit in its Windows icon size, I also made extra sizes to turn it into an actual icon. So I guess it's perfect now.

Submarine Controller Icon

In 2018, OceanGate Technologies built its own submersible known as "Titan", and it uses a Logitech F710 Game Controller to control the movements of the submarine. And in June 2023, the submersible imploded in the North Atlantic Ocean, and five people died on-board. It went viral after that... To dedicate OceanGate's CEO "Stockton Rush", I recreated the Logitech F710 Game Controller in a style of Windows 11's Fluent Design Icons to give tribute to 5 passengers who were on-board that rode the Titanic Submarine.

Tower PC/Libraries Icons

I've managed to make 2 more icons this time. The Tower PC icon is modernized to make it fit with Windows 11, the icon may resemble a Dell XPS Tower PC. The Libraries icon is based on the original Windows Vista icon but now it's also modernized to make it fit with Windows 11. (The Tower PC has 2 variants that has a disc drive or without it)

Does anybody here have a new(er) design for a Registry Editor icon? I've looked all over for a Windows-11-style one, and nothing I've found looks quite right to me. I built one for myself, but I'm no artist like so many of you in this thread, so I'd be very grateful for any suggested new icons to replace my homemade one. (The Rubik's cube idea seems to be accepted as representing the registry.)

This was someone's idea of a Windows-11-style app icon. I was using this for my registry editor icon for a while, but it's not suggestive enough of the registry as a set of linked building blocks for the system.
