Solved double windows on post

OK, I am seeing double Windows"s 11 when my computer starts
So How do I get rid of one and how do I identify which one
in the disk management, i hink the one to delete is the part one with 100 MB since its the smaller one

Please post a screen shot of Disk Management, stretched out so we can read everything.

To post a screenshot on this forum...​

1. Take the screenshot, (or camera pic), edit it as desired, save to your desktop as .png or .jpg (max. size = 2MB)
2. Left click in your post, where you want to place the screenshot.
3. Click the Attach Files button at lower left, browse to your image and select it.
4. Then click Insert, I usually choose the Thumbnail (smaller) option, or there is a Full Image (larger) option.

Here's some other things that you may find useful...

Use hirensbootcd and edit the entries.

Start one of those instances of Windows, then run "msconfig". You will see which entry the current OS is as well as what the default OS is. If the other entry is just a dupe, you can delete it from here. Otherwise, reboot, select the other OS and repeat in that instance of Windows (if it is "real").

Here is a screenshot, but this system only has a single OS installed.

Some additional troubleshooting options:



1) Open administrative command prompt and type: > post a share link




These commands can be copied and pasted all at one time.


2) Run third party software:

Use the suggestion given by @hsehestedt in post # 5. Use msconfig to remove the other OS.

1. Boot into windows as you did in your original post.
2. Right-click your start menu and select Run. Type in msconfig, then OK
3. Select the boot tab.
4. Select the OS that isn't the Current OS; Default OS and delete it.
5. Reboot.

Here's mine with more than one OS. Yours will look similar.
Also, learn to use Snipping Tool to post clean clear images to your post so we can actually see and read them.

Not surprised. OP only had the 2 posts to their account. That's why I'm beginning to pose less solutions to this stuff. Seemingly becoming more and more futile to spend the time.
