Solved How do you see OEM logo?


I have the Win11 logo on Beta 22610.160. And I set a custom OEM logo with Winaero Tweaker.

Well done. Remember if the background of the logo becomes transparent, just add a thin black border on the image so only the border becomes transparent and the background is preserved. If the background is black, try another color for the border. Otherwise you must change the background color and make the border black.

What exactly does Mica for Everyone? Can you apply transparency (glass effect) or other visual effects to windows? How? The description at Github was too short and did not completely understood. Thanks. I see dark theme in the screenshots. Hopefully it also works with light theme.

I downloaded Mica for Everyone, installed it and said I should install Windows Core 3.1 I did, tried to launch it again, nothing happens. I uninstalled, reinstalled, nothing. How do I use it?

First time I tried to run it there was a message to download and install Windows Core 3.1 Runtime and was redirected to Microsoft's site. I installed Core 3.1, tried to run it again, doesn't launch. Uninstalled Mica, restarted, reinstalled, nothing changed. I downloaded the installer. The other package asks for a certificate and didn't know what to do. Am I missing something?

On Win11 that file does exist, but it holds the Windows 10 logo for some reason. And in my System Properties the Win11 logo is shown, so I don't know if changing it will work. I may try it tomorrow.

System Properties classic step by step instructions:

Right-click on the desktop and create a new folder. copy-paste this code as the name: System.{BB06C0E4-D293-4f75-8A90-CB05B6477EEE} The default name of the folder is System. To change it right-click on the folder, select Properties and change the System to whatever you want, such as System Properties classic . That's it. You have to create the folder on your desktop, or it doesn't work. Once you create it and rename it you can copy it anywhere else, such as a USB Flash drive to copy to another computer.

More instructions when I try changing the blue "Windows 10" logo.

PS: On UEFI mode installations we see the manufacturer's logo (such as HP) on boot with the spinning dots while Windows load. I know you can replace that logo with a custom one if motherboard UEFI firmware has this option. On Legacy BIOS installations we see the familiar blue Windows logo with the spinning dots. I have not yet found a reliable method to replace this legacy logo. If anyone knows something please post! Thanks in advance.

I tried to open this file with Customizer God to replace the image, but is not supported. I guess I should do it with Resource Hacker as you described. I will report as soon as I get the chance to do it.

PS: in the folder Branding was another subfolder. Do you know what is for?
