I think my OneDrive account is corrupted because I have a file that I cannot delete. How can I delete OneDrive without deleting my Microsoft account?

As I recall, I just right clicked onedrive from menu and uninstalled, and went into settings-apps- and uninstalled.
I also installed O+OShutUp10++
and disable the one drive from there as well.
I haven't seen it since on any of the PCs I've done that to. It was approximately 8-10 PCs

aside from uninstalling, just go to onedrive on the web and delete that file too

We've onedrived this forum to death, but everyone keeps forgetting you have to unlink the account and PC from ondrive and get user files back onto his system drive before uninstalling Onedrive. Advising anyone to just uninstall Onedrive can get a user in a world of hurt as we have seen numerous times here.

Well, I always disable onedrive using the tutorial on this forum and the files remain in the cloud if I need them. I did not suffer any downside.

What exactly do you mean by "delete" OneDrive? You want to delete your OneDrive account? You want to delete (uninstall) OneDrive app from your PC? You want to delete the downloaded files, including the problematic one?

The OneDrive part of a Microsoft Account is a separate entity with different T&C. Look it up (not easy to find a reference).
If not used then OneDrive space is frozen after ~2 years, and eventually closed ~6 Months, even if you have files uploaded there.
They will send you an Email when it is frozen, you have to take action otherwise OneDrive part is closed.
You can upload/download files manually, so no need for the OneDrive App to be installed.
I have never used syncing on any of my Microsoft Accounts, so no idea of what happens in that scenario.
