Brink has a tutorial for God Mode over at Tenforums. It also works on Windows 11.

You can drag anything from Godmode to your desktop to create a shortcut if you use it regularly.

Works for me. This is on a 2017 (2nd gen) Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga X1.

At any rate I recognize that not everyone doesn't have the same equipment with the same options so, I guess other actions are needed.

It's hard to say and there can be several factors involved, your BIOS still has support for S3 as usually, it's the updated versions of the BIOS that killed it. Lenovo seemed to have gone the opposite direction which is good, from no S3 to S3 enabled at least on the 3rd Gen Yoga X1.

Hmm, I thought you had all the other profiles enabled by default but you only created the High Performance plan? According to post #13 in this thread, the High Performance Plan that is created manually versus the one that ships with Windows behave differently for the CPU:

Ofcourse the bad part about ThinkPads is whatever hardware you put in, has to be on their whitelist or else it won't work providing it's the same make/model of a product. This machine was more of a fast replacement 2 years ago so I will probably get something else. ThinkPad is the reference standard after all provided it's a real ThinkPad model and not something that Lenovo just slaps the ThinkPad name on it. Yes, I am a ThinkPad user and even have a thinkpads.com email address since 1996.

If you go back to post #9 you'll see in the image I can choose a plan or create a plan.

At any rate the custom plan I created was only a test to see if it could be done seeing some said it couldn't. All I did was change a few settings and created the profile for high performance. I could have did more tweaks but this was only a test.

Hope that clarifies :)

Power plans you don't have to make one by one, it's enough to have one, modify it and save with different name, that's how I created some of them. Other plan like Ryzen power plan (high performance and power saver) came with installation of AMD chipset drivers. 1usmus PP came from a well known Ryzen (and other AMD) contributor. It contains parts that are hidden from normal user and so not easily accessible.

Pretty sure if people actually "explored" the OS they would find that many of those reg hacks are unnecessary and aren't required.

Also, when something goes wrong due to such hacks, it's always Windows' fault, never the one tinkering with the registry.

That was why I made that comment. I guess if you had the default 3 profiles (Balanced, High Performance, Power Saver) already shown, then it's not a issue. Some people only have the Balanced profile since if you looked at my screenshot, I still wonder if there is a difference between the Dell and the Balanced power plan as the description is exactly the same. In any case, I was curious, do you have the Power Management tab in your devices in Device Manager because I still don't have it even with the registry hack.

Update: I do see the Power Management tab after I updated from the Killer 1535 WiFi 802.11ac/Bluetooth v4.1 to the Intel AX210ngw WiFi 6E/Bluetooth v5.2

Good to know. Just curious, is this a desktop or a laptop? I would think Desktops would come with the standard power plans all shown (Power Saver, Balanced, High Performance), only Ultimate Performance would be hidden.

Thanks for the discussion peeps: I just checked on my two Win11 test machines and the Power Options widget in Control Panel works the same as it did in Windows 10 for both of them. Possible that a clean install may make a difference. Both of my test machines -- Lenovo X380 Yoga (2018) and X12 Hybrid/Detachable (2021) -- had power plans defined in Windows 10 before their upgrades, and continue to show the same stuff after moving up to Windows 11. Setting PlatformAoAcOverride to 0 under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power. Removing the entry again to get back modern standby.

Open cmd.exe as admin and run:

reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power /v PlatformAoAcOverride /t REG_DWORD /d 0

You can just run regedit as admin and delete PlatformAoAcOverride under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power again to revert back. Or just as admin in cmd.exe:

reg delete "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power" /v PlatformAoAcOverride

This right here:

reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power /v PlatformAoAcOverride /t REG_DWORD /d 0

I had this problem like 1 year ago with a new laptop and somehow fixed it myself in a few days (how did I do that??). Now with this laptop, I forgot all the rubbish I learned a year ago and didn't find a fix for this problem, till I found this thread. The only clue I had was about standby states, but couldn't figure it out how to fix it. Thank you, god :).

You are welcome! All that really does is it disabled Modern Standby and re-enables the S3 traditional standby mode which would also make the other power profiles available. The registry entry changed as it was something else before which no longer worked after a certain build of Windows 10 which includes Windows 11 which was:
"1) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power] CsEnabled=0
2) deleted [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\ModernSleep]"

Didn't get a chance to try Power Plan Assistant until earlier today. Is there a version that currently works as after I downloaded the version in your link, it has a splash screen saying it's a outdated version and the program immediately exits.
