"People no longer believe in optimizers and cleaners"
Somehow, I don't think it's because they don't believe. I think it's because they don't know
how to take care of their PCs / notebooks. The younger GEN is all about phones but, when
it comes to notebooks or PCs then, they are most likely overwhelmed. From what I can tell
from my own family members, most just don't know. BUT, I will educate them!
Uncle Mike, how do I do this?

which OP already sort of surmised before posting I reckon.
A little offended by being called OP. Just kidding of course as I am.
I did kinda know that disabling it in services would stop updates but,
I also wanted to know why. And which other services were affected
by it. Dependencies is what I'm trying to find. I saw that some SVhosts
are affected by disabling it so, I will simply keep on searching to find
other dependent services. Thanks for taking the time to educate me
on this matter.@pseymour
Edit: I also noticed that the showhide tool will not function with DO
disabled.
