This is part of Chrome’s migration to Manifest v3. I don’t use Chrome or uBlock Origin, so I don’t have any advice on workarounds, but that’s what the cause is.

What is a good free replacement for uBlock Origin in Chrome?

I had a notice from Google Chrome that uBlock Origin is no longer supported and therefore should be removed. Any suggestions for something free and as good as uBlock Origin?

Cookie AutoDelete was ok in it's day but it removed itself.

This extension is no longer available because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions..

You can still use the extension, if you go to extensions, turn developer mond on, and then switch the extension back on. Will work for now, but will be removed later this year.

Using the Brave browser, you can still use UBO if required, either through adding the extension or going to Settings--Extensions--Manifest V2 Extensions, where you can Enable uBlock Origin if and when it gets removed from the Chrome Web Store.

I just switched to Brave and the ad blocking is effective so no need for extensions.

@Winuser Something always happens to this laptop. Every day? at 6:30pm tonight. I had a full charge on the battery from yesterday. Turned it on waited 5 mins. (regular starup time is 10 seconds or so) I got a black screen. Then a message came down that said: " Please shut off your computer" Plugged it in waited 2 mins. and it started right up - bought this in Sept. 2022. maybe will check the Event Logs? have a good night EDIT: 1st. time......

That's a strange one. When the laptop started did the battery show as being charged?

@Winuser When the laptop started, I had a black screen (no taskbar) It started last night (after the message which came down from the top of the display) with 90% battery. after my post in 16. It started this morning normal with the battery only with 86% on the battery. " Please shut off your computer" So I did a Hard shutdown. No issues this morning. will attach the event viewer - had appx: 2 errors at the time this happened.
Google may have turned off Ublock. Since that happened I've been using Ublock Lite with no issues. (that would be my top post here)
