Remember this thread? I'm posting a fix from Norton 360 that may be the cause, at least for me. On the 17th, Norton had me uninstall 360 and start Defender and wait for the next day to see if KB5035942 would run. Lo and behold, it did not run on the 19th. To be sure, I left 360 uninstalled and checked again on the 20th. KB5035942 did not run that morning either. I went ahead and reinstalled 360 on the 20th and checked this morning. KB5035942 did not run.
So, was Norton the culprit for me? I'm waiting for Norton's answer. If they do answer, I'll post it here. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this is finally fixed.
