Hello Windows Insiders, today we’re releasing Windows 11 Build 26100.994 (KB5039304) to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11, version 24H2 (Build 26100).

This update includes the following features and improvements:
  • This update addresses an issue that affects Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC). It fails to verify the policies of some apps.
  • This update addresses an issue that affects WDAC. It reports a certain class of its policies as not active or not authorized.
  • This update addresses an issue that might cause DWM.exe to stop responding.
  • This update brings Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA) profiles up to date for certain mobile operators.
  • This update addresses an issue that affects Unified Write Filter (UWF). Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) API calls to shut down or restart a system throws an access denied exception.
  • This update addresses an issue believed to be the underlying cause of some Insiders noticing stutters in some animations recently (dropping frames), particularly with Task View.

I probably (now) "don't have any AI setting on my machine" either, but I do have an annoying and unnecessary ghost of one in my Start menu's All Apps list (see post #21 above for the screenshot). I'm still seeking a way to dump it.

Thanks, Shawn, but I don't think I actually have Recall on my System Two, just the piece of detritus left behind by it in the ISO I used at the beginning of my 24H2 journey. It's not listed anywhere except in my All apps list, and none of the uninstaller tools I've tried can find any trace of it. Even Everything finds little except in SxS.

This particular build is being particular about who can have it. I wonder if anyone has tried flipping the switch in settings to, ' Get the latest updates as soon as their available '? Otherwise, there seems to be quite a few ways to get the build update.

I have that switch enabled always, it did not do a thing. Insider thingy did though, it said I lack the latest build.

Most members in this thread are now on 26100.994 on the IP. I'm in the RP channel. The Copilot as-an-app came with IP 994.

Actually, Copilot App was already in 26100.863, then updated from version 0.4.2.0 to 1.0.4.0.
The same App 1.0.4.0 is now available on any Build including Windows 10.

I upgraded from 26100.1 with WU offering to non-Insider 26100.863. No windowsAI in 863 and 994 because, WU probably was without (surely) WindowsAI and Recall. Also, I don't have (I don't want) copilot on the machine.

So far, runs pretty well. :clap:

In the build 26100 you can remove a useless duplicated Edge WebView copy from WinsSxS folder by running this command:
