  • [File Explorer] Fixed: When you select the See more button, the menu expands upward instead of dropping down. Because of this, the menu might go off the screen, depending on the position of File Explorer.
  • [HTML Applications (HTA)] Fixed: HTA optional components (OC) are now in ARM64 Windows PE.
  • [Task Manager] Fixed: The Users page might cause Task Manager to stop responding when you use the keyboard.
  • [Graphics Device Interface Plus (GDI+)]
  • Fixed: You cannot get the properties of image files using GDI+).
  • Fixed: Scaling is wrong when you re-encode images in GDI+.
  • [RAW format images] Fixed: They show in the wrong orientation.
  • [Exporting chart objects] Fixed: An app stops responding when it exports chart objects in PDF and XLSX formats.

I only have the option on 2 machines out of 4. All have the same Windows 11 Build.
Looks to me that after 26100.1742 they started to check if the display can support that feature. 😎

Did I just get the same download KB5046740 that came in first on November 14, 2024. winver is different 2448 vs 2454. Nothing to worry about?

If it says 2454 then you have the latest version. This morning one of my amd machines was having trouble upgrading to 2454 but after a reboot it finally did it plus it had some corrupt files that I had to repair.

Sounds like the "Bluetooth file bug", but I haven't been getting that with 24H2 on the Release Preview channel. I only remember getting that issue with '1742, which is what the build is before any CUs.

Those B.T. file show up almost on every update. Same with 24H2. MS never fixed that issue. 😵‍💫🤷‍♂️

Don't know why I no longer get them 🤷‍♂️ Guess it's in Microsoft's way of giving everyone their own personalized version of Windows 11 :boom:

Unfortunately, I had to uninstall 2454 back to 2314. I use Microsoft Remote Desktop with a smart card so I can leave my work laptop in the office but still check e-mail and do other tasks. On both of my personal machines I found that 2454 messed up something with accessing the smart card/reader so I couldn't connect to a virtual Windows desktop. I went back to 2314 and it is working again.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

All machines that I updated today to 26100.2454 with W.U. got those 190 MB leftovers for Windows Update Cleanup.

Had to use this DISM command to get rid of those. 😉🤷‍♂️
DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /STARTCOMPONENTCLEANUP /RESETBASE

Also, on 3 machines out of 4, DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /SCANHEALTH found Repairable components.
Had to use DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /RESTOREHEALTH to fix them. 🤷‍♂️

Other than that, I still see the same bugs previously reported with this build in R.P. channel. 😵‍💫

So this morning for some reason my desktop is gone.
Win 11 2454 preview started and then I got preparing Windows and then boot up to new desktop.
How to fix and retrieve previous desktop and shortcuts etc???

I had a very similar issue with my IP camera software. Keep saying this application was not able to load a VM component. I had to uninstall the update.
