Click on the 'View' drop down and change the view, or...,
click an empty space within the folder itself, press and hold Ctrl and spin your mouse wheel.

Just an FYI, if you have a 4K monitor the extra large icon view for File Explorer won't display above large even though it will space them further apart.

I believe the Extra Large Icon setting not displaying in 4K is a scaling issue. Someone said it will work with scaling set to 100% but that is a pretty tiny font display on a 4k monitor. Mine is set to 250% by the recommended default setting.

Wouldn't the solution to that be to set scale at 100% and change size of your system font, then adjust font size in your browsers accordingly??.

Having experimented with that before it does not work well and is way more trouble and work then it is worth. Better to just leave icons at the large size and live with it IMO. Going from 250% to 100% requires a huge amount of changes and adjustments.

It was just a thought. I'm too poor to buy a 4k monitor, but this worked for me. And yes you are right. It did take some trial and error to get fonts in every aspect of a window the way I liked.

Glad you got to experience it somewhat first hand. I really have no problem seeing large icons on a 4k display but I admit in certain explorer windows extra large would just look cooler. Maybe Windows 12 will change the scaling lol.

Yeah, really strange. On the windows explorer view where it shows my drives as to can see I have the drop down view option to change the size. But on the view where it shows my quick access library main icons (Documents, Pictures, Music, Videos, Desktop) I do not have that option.
