No, these are considered generic. As Intel would tell you, the ones released by the manufacturer of your computer have special customizations and optimized for your system but ofcourse whether they provide new updates is another issue.

It never does in device manager and it would be hard to tell. It's answered in the first question here:

This part is also in the release notes:
DCH drivers are now unlocked to upgrade freely between Computer Manufacturer (OEM) drivers and the Intel Generic graphics drivers on Download Center. Simply use the exe and enjoy the update on your 6th Generation Intel Processor platform or higher, and don’t worry about your OEM customizations, they remain intact with each upgrade and the OEMs can maintain customizations separately via Microsoft* Windows Update. Intel Drivers and Support Assistant will also be unlocked starting April 28th, 2020.

"...WARNING: Installing this Intel generic graphics driver will overwrite your Computer Manufacturer (OEM) customized driver. OEM drivers are handpicked, customized, and validated to resolve platform-specific issues, enable features and enhancements, and improve system stability. The generic driver’s intention is to temporarily test new features, game enhancements, or check if an issue is resolved. Once testing is complete Intel advises reinstalling the OEM driver until they validate it and release their own version.…"

With Dell, for example, their latest driver is still 27.x.x.x which means it's WDDM v2.7 and not v3.0 which is required to support Windows 11 and also WSLg.

huh interesting mine is wddm 2.7 and windows update updated me to windows 11 very interesting indeed , makes me wonder how its actually working if wddm v3.0 is the only one supported unless i miss understood you.
Older drivers that worked on Windows 10 obviously will work but you will not have all the Windows 11 features until you have a WDDM v3.0 driver as v30.0.100.9684 was the first driver with Windows 11 support as mentioned here:

Well, if your machine is not a newly released model, you know their support might or might not release a WDDM v3.0 driver as they want people to buy new current models of machines which is why they only list v27 drivers even in their October 2021 official support bulletin as being compatible with Windows 11. You can give it a try and if you experience any issues, remember to clean install which is right clicking on the Intel UHD and deleting the drivers box checked and reboot and repeat until rebooting will show Microsoft Basic Graphic drivers.

Hmm, is it a just released model? I think the way it goes is, you can try it and see. If it gives any problems, just go back to what Lenovo provides as the latest.

That's different. I meant it should on the screen in that section since it didn't even mention nVidia on the screen.
I suppose the assumption would be that anyone who needs to diagnose the Intel Graphics either already is on the latest driver version of it or already has looked in the GPUs tab under System, as it doesn't really make much sense to try to diagnose something without knowing what it is that you're trying to diagnose, which likely would explain why System | GPUs is located directly above Support | System Diagnostic. So, I am guessing the driver version number of the Nvidia is on the System Diagnostic tab just as a mnemonic, so you don't have to go back to the GPUs tab to check, in the possible event that you forgot the version number. Anyone who is familiar with troubleshooting of Intel Graphics is capable to easily remember Intel Graphics driver version numbers so that's why the number isn't shown on the System Diagnostics tab, or screen.

Despite the app's shortcomings (and a few bugs), this is a good example of a user interface the layout of which is reasonably well-structured, at least in this regard, as it puts the main focus toward achieving a productive type of workflow. I.e., the exact opposite of dumbed-down components like the Windows 11 taskbar and the schizo context menu of Windows 11.

Who knows, it would have looked better if they mentioned the nVidia part since not everyone will remember the version numbers in their head as all the 30.x says is that it's WDDM v3.0. I mean the report does actually show the name of everything as you mentioned earlier. I guess for nVidia, they rarely ever call their versions by the full version number as it's normally just the last part of the version numbers xxx.xx which was probably why I didn't recognize it originally while Intel is the one who calls it 30.100 or 101.0.xxxx. To be honest, I have only used Intel Control Panel maybe like 5 times in total over the past 2.5 years ever since I had a Intel UHD integrated video and looked at it quickly until you mentioned it earlier in the thread, it wasn't obvious that was the nVidia driver version number because of the way nVidia and everyone else calls it.

No, these are considered generic. As Intel would tell you, the ones released by the manufacturer of your computer have special customizations and optimized for your system but ofcourse whether they provide new updates is another issue.
AFAIK in the vast majority of cases there simply are no "special customizations and optimizations" being applied to a hardware component such as this.

I don't doubt it could have looked better. It's called function over fashion. :p

Hard to know for sure because when I had a problem with the Intel drivers, Intel support on their forums was telling me to use the OEM provided older version of drivers because of that as you can see from my thread here:

"Just to let you know, the Intel® graphics drivers are generic, meaning they might or might not work with your platform. For that reason, we always recommend to install the graphics driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer, since that driver was heavily customized by them to work with your specific platform."

"that is unfortunate because they are the ones that add the customizations to their drivers to comply with the features they advertised, most of the times if they need to add a fix to the driver they get in contact directly with Intel® to work together internally to add those fixes to their customized driver, that is why it is also very important to report this scenario to them so they can be aware also about some problems showing at the moment the driver available on their website gets installed."

As it turned out, I fixed the problem when I clean install the video drivers after uninstall and removing the driver files which was caused by one of the driver versions which I believe was v30.0.100.9922 installed over older versions.

One thing to note is you might need to read this thread to see what version of 27.x.x.x started giving the problem described in the thread with dwm.exe which was not fixed until 30.0.101.1121 which was actually a Beta version that had the fix included after people had the problem for over a year since Windows 10.

, Intel support on their forums was telling me to use the OEM provided older version of drivers
They always tell you that. Even, if there simply are no OEM provided drivers being provided by anyone anywhere, as is the case with my Medion Akoya S15450 laptop.
As it turned out, I fixed the problem when I clean install the video drivers after uninstall and removing the driver files which was caused by one of the driver versions which I believe was v30.0.100.9922 installed over older versions.
Yes, doing a clean install of drivers is the recommended way to troubleshoot.

Yes, that is probably because they get paid by the OEMs but not by the consumers since we don't buy the product from them. It's similar to when AMD/ATI sold video cards, there are the OEM versions and then there are the retail versions. OEM is supported by whoever you buy it from while retail is supported by whose name is on the actual product.
