Why are these release numbers so confusing? Device Mgr. says I have ver. 30.0.101.1631. So should I upgrade (downgrade?) or not?

When you read logs, most updates are down to some obscure nonsense in games I have never heard off. I just wait until there is an official intel download and do it then i.e. mainly if it ain't broke, don't fix it mentality,

Well here we go again. Not related to graphics drivers but...MS pushed a Realtek -Net update this morning
Realtek Gaming GbE family Controller - 10.51.811.2021 (I suspect while newer than that I had, this is old).

So far no issues, but I not had any success in finding this driver on Realtek site, or anyplace else.

I'm done with Intel Graphics drivers released by Intel. Too unstable, screen constantly goes black when it hits a color or picture it doesn't like and will stay that ways indefinitely. The only way out is Task Manager and trying to minimize screen as fast as possible otherwise I have to sign out.

Intel has even said their graphics drivers are bare and you should stick to your OEM released driver. Problem is they are slow to release them. So I'm on a 6 month old driver from ASUS and its working fine. It's integrated graphics so driver updates don't really do anything but fix bugs or make more.

I read somewhere the issue is with the XMP 1 & 2 profiles ASUS uses. When I keep memory at 2166 I get no problems.

Its a never ending saga. I've had Windows offer me 2 drivers at once one it downloaded it self the truly archaic one that starts with 27 and an optional one 30.0.100.9805 that'd not very new either and it will install them back to back.
I swear Microsoft is obsessed with leaving as many different 1.5Gb Intel graphic drivers on you r hard drive as possible.
