    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Dev, Beta, and RP 24H2 as native boot vhdx.

Thanks. IMO, this is an important excerpt from their EOL policy. It appears to be just like V7 EOL was and is. It may clarify, since "retired" used by another MR user, not MR themselves, may be incorrect. Retired generally means inactive and not in use.
Can I continue to use Macrium Reflect Free?

Yes, you can continue to use the software in perpetuity, your license to use the software is unaffected.

Free will not die either.

I did a long time ago, for the Incremental backups and ransomware protection. Worth the money alone for those features. File and folder backups are a nice bonus

I just use the generic download switches for all Macrium Reflect paid installers.
Of course, you need licenses for them all.

For example. In the case of a 4 Pack license, I only download one installer and share it between computers on my network.
I just find it more convenient to only download an installer once.

Nobut you can backup both from same installation.

If you dual boot between Windows 10 and 11 on the same system, you can activate both.

Let's take an example: Assume you install Windows 10 and activate it. You now should show that Windows is activated with Digital License.

Now you install Windows 11. It will automatically activate seeing that there was a digital license available for that system.

Please be aware that both installations need to be of the same edition (Home, Pro, etc.).

Remember: There is no difference between a Windows 10 and 11 license. If you activate one, you can freely install the other, either as an additional OS or on its own.

Strictly you can only have one activation, but you just login to version with it installed, and backup other version with no issues. Main thing to remember is to backup the EFI partition as well as the appropriate Windows drive, just in case you get a disk failure.
