Applications

I tried to install my Nvidia update yesterday when it prompted me to do so. It took a while to download and then during the installation process it failed so badly, I had restart my laptop . I'm going to wait for the next release before I try to upgrade the graphics driver again. I do not game, so I'm not missing out on much.

Nothing new, it seems like if you install a hotfix that is newer than the released driver, the Release date in GeForce Experience would always be some date that is a long time ago, maybe because there is some database that GeForce Experience talks to.

I have been having an issue with my Windows desktop and apps becoming unclickable when I was using v531.18 I think..
randomly.. and not too often... not sure if it was a Nvidia display driver issue or a Windows bug after the second to last update...
has anyone else noticed this happening to them too?

Exactly what mine was doing...nvidia container using 15% of my cpu after exiting a game. Re-installed the previous driver. Might give the hotfix a try.

EDIT: Yup, hotfix did the trick.

    • Fixed Vulkan Video not working on NVIDIA Ada family of GPUs
    • Fixed the disk cache to handle UTF-8 paths
    • Improved robustness of vkCreatePipelineCache with invalid data
    • Fixed corruption that may occur when rendering with a previously resolved depth image
    • Fixed rare SPIR-V control flow bug that may result in infinite loop
    • Fixed the coherency order not being consistent between atomic loads and atomic stores

HDR10 still have issues, had 4070Ti /4080 and now 4090 , with or with out DSR , other than that , games run fine .
