Applications

The January NVIDIA Studio Driver provides support for the new GeForce RTX 5090 and GeForce RTX 5080 GPUs. In addition, this release offers optimal support for the latest new creative applications and updates including NVIDIA Broadcast, Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Wondershare Filmora, and the DLSS 4 update to D5 Render.

I've downloaded the Beta but, am a bit afraid of installing.
I saw that both Experience and Nvidia control panel are
not affected by this new app and would not be replaced
but, would the settings I've made to both be uprooted by
this new app.

It actually replaces GeForce Experience and uses settings based on GeForce Experience as the nVidia icon now shows Nvidia App, Nvidia Control Panel and Exit.

Is there any way to use this new app _without_ incurring the Experience piece. I have no need for GFE and always install my drivers without it....

I found this note on the guru3d forums:

"It's basically a GFE reskin with global/app-specific profiles. More of an alpha release than a beta, especially with things like overclocking, display enumeration, etc missing." and a second quote:
"I absolutely HATE the idea of a combined NVCP and GeForce Experience.
They're basically forcing me to install GeForce Experience if I want to install NVCP. Not to mention it'll probably completely break Profile Inspector -- might be too much trouble to fix. You guys celebrating this really willing to risk that for a combined NVCP + GFE Experience???"

If it forces GFE stuff then it's not for me.

I never use GFE, but decided to give this a shot. It's not bad. Some of the tools in it, like RTX HDR and RTX Dynamic Vibrance are actually pretty cool.
