Solved Log on two users warning whenever I restart or shut down Windows 11


Great stuff posted here. I just wanted to chime in and say the message about other users when rebooting or shutting down I found stopped for me when I disabled Fast startup

I just ran the DISM command. My computer got a clean bill of health:

"No component store corruption detected.
The operation completed successfully."

Odd that it didn't detect the missing query.exe file.

Now to work on getting that file back into the system.

First and foremost - since this is a new system build, where did you get the .ISO / installation files to install Windows 11 from?

I watched a video on YouTube by a guy, PC Centric, in England who showed how to do a new install of Windows 11. The video is titled " How To Install Windows 11! - Your COMPLETE Guide, Step By Step!" and here is the YouTube Link:

I've attached a screenshot of the link I used to download the Windows 11 installation file.

As for the Windows key, I bought it from Windows. I wanted to make sure I was getting a legitimate key from an official source. I just opened the Order History screen on my Microsoft account and verified the purchase.

I am okay if I need to wipe the solid-state drive and do a clean re-installation of Windows. I've only had my computer for a week, so I have very little on it except for new drivers and such. I was basically improvising when I installed Windows 11 so it's very possible that I've made some mistakes. Like I said before, I'm happy to learn.

First question. Which of the following options should I choose? I assume option One, but making assumptions has gotten me into trouble before.


  • Option One: Download Latest Windows 11 64-bit ISO using Media Creation Tool
  • Option Two: Download Windows 11 64-bit or ARM64 ISO from Microsoft
  • Option Three: Download Windows 11 Insider 64-bit ISO from Microsoft
  • Option Four: Download Windows Server Insider ISO from Microsoft

The new system for a new install of Windows 24H2, actually grabs the latest updates from Microsoft during the install process.

As an example (not real build numbers) if you start with Build 123, you will end up with Build 234 IF build 234 has been released from Microsoft.

Do you use a Microsoft Account? Your Key is digitally associated with your Microsoft Account. As long as you use your Microsoft Account email address to install Windows, it will know. Otherwise you can just enter the key when it’s time after Windows is installed.

You will need to boot to the USB at boot when you turn on your computer, to install Windows.
Also, make sure you’ve backed up anything you want to preserve, like photos etc

You know, you could also just reset Windows from within Windows. There isn’t really a need to reinstall

Yes, I have a Microsoft account. Glad to know I don't have to search for the product key and enter it. that's a long code. lol.
