Solved Log on two users warning whenever I restart or shut down Windows 11

So far the installation seems to be going well. Windows 11 itself seems to have been installed fine so far. MSI is installing its MSI Centre and graphics drivers.

You won't believe this, but I still can't find query.exe in the System32 folder. Sigh.

I disabled the Notifications: Additional Settings and Disabled the Windows Welcome Experience. Still no Query.exe file.

But as for the error message that caused me to start this thread, I learned earlier in this thread that if I log out before trying to shut down the computer, I won't get the original error message.

Which version of Windows are you using? Home or Pro.

The reason I ask is because as far as I know, query.exe is not available in Windows Home, only Pro.

Also, for future reference; please fill out your computer specifications with as much detail as you can (If a Laptop, the exact model would do it)

And when starting a thread, at the very bottom you can put your Windows version and build number. Always add it when starting a thread, please, Mike.

Yes, I have the Home version of Windows - Version 24H2, OS Build 26.100.2894.

I'm sorry if I caused any problems. I've added my computer specifications

I didn't get the pro version of Windows since I don't work professionally in the computer field. But do you think I should upgrade to Pro?

Hey, Mike, it’s OK. More of a hassle for you because you went to all this trouble for a missing file. I hadnt read a few pages. I only chimed in again when you wanted to reinstall. I usually read all posts but failed to do so this time.

I’ll put it this way; if you come across another instance of having to utilise something only available in the Pro version, it may be worth contemplating. Otherwise, just see how you go?

Most likely by it or a process not working for you.

If the cost doesn’t bother you, go for it.
When you activate it, it should make your Microsoft account digitally aware that you now have pro. But keep it in a safe place, regardless.

The difference between Home and pro, is basically that Home doesn’t have BitLocker disk encryption, bit it does have device encryption. No Remote Desktop support, group policy management, and some security and business tools.

Hyper -V for creating and running virtual machines
Private Catalog to access your company's apps through your own section in the Microsoft Store
Ability to join Azure Active Directory and connect to your school, business, or corporate network via the cloud
Ability to join a domain and connect to your business or corporate network

In terms of security, Windows 11 Home includes the standard Windows Security features, such as virus and threat protection, firewall and network protection, family options, app control, and device security like TPM support and core isolation, which protects the central Windows kernel.

Both Home and Pro include a device encryption option, but Pro's inclusion of BitLocker is more robust, allowing an administrator to remotely encrypt a PC, for example.

Windows 11 Pro also adds security features for organizations' IT departments that manage a workforce of PCs, called Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention.
