Solved Lost / deleted "Screenshot" folder

Hello Everyone,
I accidentally deleted the screenshot folder in C>User>Pictures.
To be clear, it has not been moved somewhere else or got lost in the process.
I deleted it (a bit of a clean freak ;-)) since I use Snipping Tool, which allows me to select a different location.
(I have all personal folders on D drive - nothing on C ... only Op. System)

Now I discovered the new PC Manager and it looks very good to me and I got rid of Ccleaner.
However, there the screenshot feature gives no options for saving location.
After making a screenshot in PC Manager and clicking "Screenshots", it opens Pictures, but there is nothing ... of course, because the Screenshot folder is not there.

Please advise how to re-create a new Screenshot folder in that default location so that Pc Manager feature has a destination.
I guess I can then later move the folder to a new location on D drive.
I already tried a registry hack under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders ... creating a Screenshot entry there
with the path to pictures ... but to no avail - maybe I missed something.

Please help ... I like to use the screenshot feature in PC Manager in the future.
Detailed steps to do recreate the system default screenshot folder and then to move it ... or creating it directly in a new location ... would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Brink,
thanks, but it did not do anything.
I followed the third option and nothing happened.
The bat file executed but scrennshots still don't appear in a folder I created and called "Screenshots".
I noticed though that this folder now has a Location tab in properties, which it didn't before.
However, when making screenshots with PC Manager ... nothing gets there
Any further advise?

Thanks

Is the Screenshots folder still in the Recycle Bin by chance? If so, you can restore it from within the Recycle Bin.

If not, then manually create a new Screenshots folder in your C:\Users\<username>\Pictures folder.

No, the folder was deleted month ago.
I already created a screenshot folder in Pictures, but it does not act as a system folder / does NOT receive screenshots.

I deleted the folder in pictures that I created by "New" etc.
Then ran the bat file again.
It created a new screenshot folder in Pictures.
However, no screenshots show up in it.
It has as well a Location tab.
Its not working from PC Manager. To cross check, I don't know how to use the built-in screenshot feature
to send screenshots there by default (just in case PC Manager is not working right)

mine has a location tab by default. not sure why it wouldnt... its not a library.
i just deleted it and pressed Win+Print Screen and it automatically recreated itself...

New development:
I figured out how to make a screenshot that automatically saves (Windows key+PrintScreen key) ... and it saved in
the new screenshot folder. So, the default system folder was created and works.
So ... now the question is ... why does PC Manager not send them there?
Is there a forum that really knows PC Manager?

Thank you all!
I checked Snipping tool and automatic saving was off ... probably because I started saving manually to a folder in D drive.
I checked automatic saving again .. and the default location was still Users>Pictures>Screenshots ... and now it works!!
Just one additional question ... since I don't save any working files to C drive ... can I change the default location of the screenshot
folder to a location on D drive and will it still receive captures as they would on C drive > Users > pictures?
Basically, move it and keeping the same functionality and status.
Thanks

go back to the location tab for the screenshot folder and move it to the desired drive. then check snipping tool settings again to update that as well. win+print screen saved to D: after i moved the folder. i assume you'll have to edit snipping tool to do so though.
